Nigerian folklore:  The Yoruba people of Nigeria call stinkhorn mushrooms Akufodewa, a combination of the words ku (die), fun (for), ode (hunter), and a (search). The Yoruban name reflects the belief that hunters, smelling the glebal odor in the forest, may mistake the smell for a dead animal and search for it. Phallus mushrooms are also used by the Yoruba to prepare a charm known as Egbe, which reputedly "has the power of making one invisible in the face of danger.

florida water

I love the use of "Florida Water" but I'm not fond of the alcohol content, especially when using it as a spiritual bath cleanse. You can make your own "Florida Water" by replacing alcohol with witch hazel and rose water. Add just a few drops of these essential oils such as; lemon, orange, tangerine, bergamot, lavender, clove, grapefruit, jasmine and neroli. It's refreshing and known to help rejuvenate those who are weary and calm the restless spirit. Add a cup to bath water and soak your body to release negativity, worry and tension. Add a cup of sea salt to your bath water and increase it's frequency. Just lay back and meditate on your desires for your health, wellness and healing. It can also be used in rituals of home protection and spiritual cleansing. Add "Florida Water" to bowls of water and set it out for the spirits of the ancestors. It's one the many uses of our Elders. Palm tree

In Egypt, the evergreen date palm was a sacred tree, and a palm branch was the symbol of the god Heh, the personification of eternity. For later cultures, the palm branch also served as an emblem of fecundity and victory. For Christians, the palm branch is a symbol of Christ's victory over death. It also signified immortality and divine blessings and is often seen as an attribute of Christian martyrs. It also denotes particular Christian saints such Paul the Hermit and Christopher, as well as the Archangel Michael. The palm tree is also a symbol of the garden of paradise.

I've been

Thinking about traditional roots and throwing the chicken bones for divination. We've all heard such, but I don't think many of us have actually seen it done. I've checked online and found references on the subject in books and movies.
Im going to do some research and see if I can come up with any real information on throwing the bones.
stay tuned...
